subtraction drawings

a mild day in winter I went over to the botanical gardens -  bare branches against a white sky - lines like  drawings - great tangles of lines, layers  superimposed.... I had my camera - it was a fine afternoon.

later, I began to erase....
perhaps I will print them.
I could call these 'drotos' - combination drawing-photo?

Most of these photos are from 2005-6 . A sliver of sun forced its way into the studio and got my attention. I put anything I could think of in its path. For the entire winter the light from the sun was my drawing partner.....
